Glaziers measure, handle, fabricate, and install glass and glass substitutes, including curtain wall framing, aluminum storefront frames and entrances, glass railings, skylights and more. They can also attach films and laminates that improve the durability and safety of glass.

You have good physical strength.

You are comfortable working outdoors and indoors, at heights and in confined spaces.

You have good hand-eye coordination, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and material specifications to determine layouts and installation requirements.
  • Measure, handle, fabricate, and install glass and glass substitutes.
  • May work from elevated work platforms, scaffolds and suspended work platform systems.
  • May work in industrial, commercial, institutional and residential environments.
  • Can also be involved in creating custom-designed glass installations for commercial and residential use.
